I have been practicing dentistry for 30 years and I'm devoted to my mission to help my patients retain all of their teeth all of their lives in maximum comfort, function, health and esthetics.
My education started at Wake Forest University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry in 1967. I was awarded a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 1970 from the St. Louis University School of Dentistry. I then went on to complete a General Practice Internship, from 1970 to 1971, at Florida State Hospital. Sunland Hospital Orlando, Florida was my next stop, where I served as the Resident Dentist at this 1,000-bed hospital for non-ambulatory children with special needs.
In 1972, upon completion of my dental residency, I moved to Bradenton, Florida and launched my private practice. Since 1972 I have been providing general and family dentistry, with a special emphasis on restorative, occlusal, and TMJ problems.
I am committed to staying on top of new technologies and procedures and have earned the Academy of General Dentistry's Fellowship Award in 1997. The Academy of General Dentistry is an organization of general dentists dedicated to professional development and continuing education. To earn the Fellowship Award a dentist must earn a minimum of 500 approved Continuing Education Credits and pass a comprehensive 400-question examination.
I am deeply indebted to those who have so generously given their time skill and knowledge to help me become a better dentist, namely, Dr. Peter Dawson, Dr. L.D. Pankey, Dr. Alvin Fillastre and Dr Irwin Becker.
I am also an Alumni Member of the LD Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education in Key Biscayne, Florida and have had the privilege to have been a Teaching Assistant in their programs. I have attended over 250 hours of educational continuums at The Pankey Institute.
When I'm not helping my patients achieve healthy smiles, I like to spend my spare time outdoors. You'll often find me fishing, sailing, or on my bicycle.
